Bergen Mobile Makerspace
Meet our Mobile Makers
Justine Diamond
Mobile Makerspace Instructor
Justine Diamond found her way to the Bergen Makerspace in 2015 through her involvement with the 3d printed prosthetic movement. She’s been a member and an instructor ever since working with teachers, students and the community at large. Justine, passionate about empowering makers of all abilities, has spent the last two years bringing the makerspace to students served by Bergen County Special Services. Justine’s favorite response to student questions is “I don’t know! Let’s find out!!” An avid reader, literature finds its way into most of Justine’s projects. She likes to joke that she adds reading to turn STEAM into STREAM. She’s got a dedicated makerspace and woodshop in her house which keeps the whole family busy. Outside of the makerspace, you’ll find Justine outdoors biking and hiking or indoors knitting and cooking.
Bryan Kule
Mobile Makerspace Instructor
In 2022, Bryan Kule became a member of the Bergen Makerspace team. He arrived at world of maker education through an unconventional route. Straight out of college, he ventured into the manufacturing domain of the home lighting industry and remained self-employed for decades. Bryan has always been a hands-on individual, engaging in a variety of activities, ranging from designing and manufacturing
his own products to restoring cherished antique pieces. Although he predominantly worked with traditional tools, his curiosity extended to the
realm of modern technological tools.
The Bergen Makerspace not only provided him with access to these contemporary tools but also ignited a profound passion within him. This passion literally drives him, through the Mobile MakerBus, to share his knowledge and educate students about the Design Thinking Process, motivating them to become makers themselves. Presently, Bryan is pursuing a Graduate Certificate Course in Maker Education at Rutgers University.
